Home decor is no easy feat, or at least for me it’s not anyway. However, the longer I put interest in refreshing our space, the more I feel the creative part of me begins to envision where I’d like my design to go.

It’s funny because originally, the things that inspired me are showing up completely different in our home but that’s ok. Perhaps, it’s because I’m working mostly with what we already have and a lot thrifted pieces (under $50 if possible).

A whole lot of painting will be happening very soon. So, we’ll see how that goes! But I will be very happy to share the process as it happens.

Painting, repairs and rearranging heavy furniture and equipment is really the bulk of the work in the background. But even so, with all that work involved; it’s worth it.

I would really love to view myself as a DIYer but

I would really love to view myself as a DIYer but I’m not going to lie, you need some good motivation. At least I know I did, but what kept me going was the vision I had in mind. I’m happy to say I’m not disappointed.

I also want to say that I decorated mostly with things I already owned. I just repurposed them in a new spot.

The three new things I bought were the paint, painting supplies and the new privacy peel and stick window covers.
-
I do want to warm my space up a bit more but I’ll take my time with this part to see what I really would like to do.

There’s nothing like the feeling of transforming a space with your own hands! My latest project took about seven days of work (spanning two weeks with life’s usual interruptions), and it was so worth it. It wasn’t just about painting—it was about the motivation to see the change come to life. The way a fresh coat of paint can completely uplift a room is amazing! I’m in love with my kitchen now, and while there are a few finishing touches left to add some warmth, cooking and baking here has never felt more inviting. Ready to tackle your own space? Do it! You’ll be amazed at the difference!
